I heard a comedian whom I love, say something that got me thinking... She said "We are the generation of selfies and it's all about us." (in the western world)...
Now, I think I know where she was going with that - in that there is a lot of entitlement showing up, a lot of 'look at what I have (and what you don't have)', 'look at how happy I am' (who posts a selfie when they are upset or angry?) and well, you get the picture. She then went on to say how we glorify and cheer on people who are showing their struggles but if we show our successes (like a fit and healthy body) then we are now show offs and bragging.
So how does one freakin' navigate "self" in all of this? I can't even imagine just how confusing this is to young women, and men who are already battling out-of-control hormones and emotions... or women who are stepping into their power and encountering backlash.
So that is why I wanted to write a blog (and do a broadcast) on Self-Love!
♥ What Self-Love IS NOT
Now maybe not everyone agrees with me, that is ok... but after working closely with people and their biggest secrets (including myself) - this is what I can say it is not:

Writing this today made me realize that there is a lot of work to do when travelling the Self-Love path and that it is totally OK to make it all about you while transitioning. Take the above tips into consideration as you navigate this bumpy road and always know that you have a tribe of CONSCIOUS Selfie-Lovers cheering you on!
